WATS A Pon A TimE

I was sorting out some old papers and came across stuff I wrote in Montessori and early grade school. They made me very happy.

My favourite spelling of a word is "chrejerhunt," it says "treasure hunt". Sound it out. It makes more sense than first glance.

Now sit back and let me read you some stories:

WATS A Pon A TimE THER WAR KIS THEAT WAR goWiE To A bRCdAY PRDEY
(Once upon a time there were kids that were going to a birthday party.)
(Please note the one eyed girl)

And THEn THEAE HAd SAm KAKE
(And then they had some cake.)
(Please note how the children merge seamlessly with their chairs :)

And THEn THEAE PLAUDE GAmSE
(And then they played games)

And THEn THEAE WET HOME HOM
(And then they went home. home!)
(Excellent perspectives in the paths, I think).
(The End.)

"hiu my name is Kuoos and how i got my Kron is wen i was rolling i had-a bap and thae is wer i hackt it I pat on it"
(Hi you! My name is Kuoos and how I got my crown is when I was rolling I... had a bump? heard a bap?.... and that is where I got it. I put it on.)
(who cares what it says?! Look at his feet!!)

MOM is WTiG FR EVR WN To CM DAWNSTRS

(Who needs vowels? :)

 THE KIDS HAV KM DASARS
(The kids have come downstairs)

THE KiDs R PLAN THE DAD is AT WRK

THE CiDS hAV LEFT THE ROOM

 TO gET JREST AND
(To get dressed and...)
(Great use of suspense, also notice the small piggy child. She's so cute.)

 And goWi to A PDRE
(And going to a party)
(Please note the girl with the balloon coming straight out of the top of her head :)

And ThEn THEA WET HAM And HAD LOAS OVA FUN
(And then they went home and had loads of fun)
(Wet ham! Fun with eggs!)
(The End)

I also wrote excellent book reports. They have depth and scope and insight. If they were the blurbs on the back of books, I would definitely read those books. (Sometimes Why, the second one is for you!)

Book report
Author: NO
tittle: the great lost treasure hunt
i like all of it

Book report

Ather: russell Hoban
i like when frances get the china tee set

Book report

Book report

Finally, a poem about dinosaurs:
Dinosaurs do not count,
Because they are all Dead:
But still they walk about heavily
In everybody's head.

When I woke up this morning, the day belonged to me

I woke up this morning, and Kryptonite was online, so I messaged him and asked if he wanted to ride downtown together, as I had some stuff to hand in. I was somewhat late getting to the streetcar stop, so I thought I'd missed him, but he showed up with a hot chocolate for me that he'd bought while he waited.

The trees have little green pom poms on all the tips of their branches.

Bulbs are blooming all over the place, bright splashes of rich green leaves and happy flowers.

A man with two ferrets on leashes entered the subway at the same time as me.

Raccoons that wander about my backyard, digging in the dirt, climbing trees, and smelling their hands like wollen teddies.

I find little notes of things my prof said that I thought were funny scrawled across the top of my lecture notes:
"I don't know what the function of parties are. I like to have conversations in depth and parties make that very difficult."
"He ran the roman empire. You try to run the roman empire." (raises eyebrows).
"Tell them you're allergic to placebos."

"When I opened my eyes this morning,
The day belonged to me.
The sky was mine and the sun,
And my feet got up dancing.
The marmalade was mine and the squares of the sidewalk
And all the birds in the trees.
So I stood and I considered
Stopping the world right there,
Making today go on and on forever.
But I decided not to.
I let the world spin on and I went to school.
I almost did it, but then, I said to myself,
'Who knows what you might be missing tomorrow?'"

rhyming reference response

بلدي رجل had requested a reference to an interesting article, which I sent to him, his response?
"thank you so much for this reference.
i downloaded an article by dweck that i will treat with deference
it contains the nugget philly was telling me about
i will forward the article to my pedagogy prof without a doubt...
i am still curious about one piece of information
if i knew the answer i would make an exclamation
does her thesis only apply to childhood education
or does it also apply to those of the adult generation??
if it did that'd be a sensation
i would give that thesis a standing ovation

i will send your regards to the girl with red hair
as well as an eclair
wait... that's a desert
our brains is hurt
our poem is done
it was fun."

truly awesome.
