Summer Sunshine

Kryptonite and I made sandcastles on the beach this morning. It had a bridge, and towers, and I found a vibrant green rock.

Mummy drove for the first time since her injury. Her arm moves enough to reach the key and turn the steering wheel!

I'm eating a samosa from little india. It tastes like spicy yummy deliciousness.

I've rented Easy A. Apparently the director's first movie is about two football guys who decide to go to cheerleading camp for the summer, and is also quite intelligent and entertaining. I'm looking forward to it.

An illustrated Manuscript

I like my silly coloured toes (thank you Nanermellon);

The balloons I got for Rafiki to celebrate the end of the school year danced on the rising heat;
Jaja was singing the Kellogg's Raisin Bran tag line "2 cups of raisins in Kellogg's raisin bran" when she stopped, snorted, and said sarcastically, "Real food in food? It must be health food!"
Which made me laugh.

I went for a walk with Kryptonite when the wind was blowing strong and the waves were exhilarating and beautiful;

(the waves created ponds all the way up the beach.
I liked this lost and lonely deck chair)

I made a second cake! It was for Rafiki's mummy's birthday. Banana sponge cake with lemon whipping cream and strawberry layers; and lots and lots of strawberries, whipping cream, and a little rum chocolate icing on top. Rafiki put on all the strawberries except the centre flower. He did a mighty fine job.

We went out for dinner and I met his Dad for the second time (the first time longer than 2 minutes). He tells funny stories. I want to hear them all twice so I can do them some justice in a retelling.

winter warmth

I like the fat snowflakes that fell onto my eyelashes.

I like the small asian girl that came into one of my classes with fluffy gray earmuffs that were as big as her head.

I liked the porridge I made with almond milk, lemon peel, cinnamon, and brown sugar.

I liked the surprise of my lovely outfit with I put on with my usual method of which clothes are near the top of the drawer, and which, when I walked past a mirror turned out to be simple and cute, with elegant lines, and a silhouette a bit like an old-school sailor.

December 6th

Another busy day with a conglomeration of nice things.
1. We went to an epic poetry reading, indian dance and music performance, with a sweet lady speaking the poem, she had a beautiful spirit. Very still, and very alive, like a lake.
2. I fell asleep at the poetry reading, and dozed in an alert sleep.
3. Jaja did reiki on my hand (twice) today, and made the itching go away and made the hand tingly with healing.
4. We visited Bird and Jame, and they fed us a wealth of interesting foods on little dishes. Rolled egg, and seaweed, and kale salad. Rum toff and raisin toast, and hot chocolate with old melty marshmallows. All delicious.
5. I opened my boot this morning and inside was an edward gorey postcard calendar. Expect exciting mail in the future :)

A whole sheep video. I especially like the curlers and oven mitts.
